Korean ginseng firm keen to spread roots to Penang

A WELL-KNOWN ginseng company in Korea is aiming to spread its wings to Penang.
Geumhong Korea Ginseng (M) Sdn Bhd president Yoo Seong Bok said there was a great opportunity for the company to promote the korean ginseng in Penang following the launching of its products in Kuala Lumpur last year.
Embassy of the Republic of Korea First Secretary Jo Won Gab said the korean ginseng is the pride of the Republic of Korea.
He said this in his speech during the official launch of the Geumhong Korean Geumsan Ginseng Promotion at Sunshine Square on Saturday.

State Town and Country Planning, Housing and Arts Committee chairman Wong Hon Wai welcomed the Korean delegates to come to Penang more often to visit the state.
Sunshine Wholesale Mart Sdn Bhd general manager Yee Kam Ming said the promotion is being held until tomorrow at Sunshine Square, Sunshine City and Sunshine Farlim.
Among those present were Sunshine Amanjaya Sdn Bhd director Datuk Abdul Rafique Karim, Deputy Mayor of Geumsan County Lee Sangseong and Korean Society Northern Region Malaysia chairman Hwang Dong Ha.
Shoppers of Sunshine Square were entertained to various performances including the Korean Nanta Show & Samulnori, the 1Malaysia cultural dance and a hip-hop dance.
There were also taekwondo demostration and singing by Malaysian K-pop singer Dior.
